Design and development of a centralised, multi-site platform using Sitecore

Crafting a Unified Digital Experience


The Challenge

LME managed multiple world-class events, each with its own website, leading to a fragmented digital presence. The challenge was to consolidate these into a cohesive, user-centric platform that could cater to diverse audiences, including participants, charities, sponsors, and spectators.


Goals & Constraints

Research & Discovery

Conducted comprehensive workshops, stakeholder interviews, and competitor analysis to understand user needs and business objectives. Developed detailed personas representing key user groups to guide design decisions.


Ideation & Concepting

Developed wireframes and prototypes focusing on:

  • Modular design to accommodate various event-specific content

  • Intuitive navigation tailored to diverse user journeys

  • Responsive layouts for seamless access across devices


Design Process

Implemented a modular architecture using Sitecore Helix principles, enabling:

  • Efficient management of multiple sites within a single solution

  • Consistent user experience across different events

  • Simplified content updates and maintenance


Testing & Validation

Conducted usability testing with representatives from each user group to validate design choices. Iterated on feedback to refine navigation, content hierarchy, and accessibility features.
